Spoil Free Review NA Contemporary Romance Heat: Hot~Fan Yourself Bought I had high expectations for This Time Around. After getting a awesome teaser from Maybe This Time (Maybe #1) and the excerpt at the end in Maybe This Time, I was looking forward to an angsty second chance at love read. Did not get that. It started off amazing but fell short fast. The angst was minimal as they rekindle their relationship quickly. They spent more time with inner angry thoughts than they did bickering. I kept waiting for something huge to happen like a shock moment since they hadled everything too fast but nothing came. A few issues did come up but I was dissapointed because these issues were done already in book 1. So it was nothing refreshing. Second is one of the issues was not even needed in this book. I felt this issue was thrown in to cause drama and it was handle quickly. I never got to invest in their relationship because everything that happend was handled quickly. I never got to absorb their feelings. I really needed some high/low moments. I do love the brothers and friends. Was loving the brotherly love feeling again. They all were the highlight of the book for me. The fun bantering put a big smile on my face. One of the things I love about Chantal Fernando writing style is she has a way of setting up her next books with some kick butt awesome teasers. So I love knowing who is going to be up next and get a sneak peak of what is possible to come. Sad to say I did have high hopes for this book. I do not think I will read the next book as of already showing Insta-Love. I do like his character so who knows might end up reading it out of curiosity. Never know the 3rd book might end up being a winner for me. On a good note I will try her biker series Dragon's Lair (Wind Dragons MC #1) as I do love me some biker-riding-hotties.
