Reviews

I have so many mixed messages about this book. On one handed a really enjoyed it, I enjoyed some of the character development and explanations to previous situations. On the other hand I'm furious/disappointed and sad at how this story played out. The endings pace was a bit too rushed for me, and felt a little disappointing. I'll admit I'm not a bill fan so his constant presents in this book felt fake and meh in this book. All that said I enjoyed reading this book.

The Sookie books turned rather dark in this installment. I must say, I'm not so sure I'm looking forward to finding out the aftermath of this book. Some of my reading was also tainted by the one episode of the horrible pr0n True Blood show I watched last year. I couldn't get those lame-butt vamps out of my head. Bleh. So I didn't enjoy this as much as the others of the series.

If you've read all of Sookie's adventure you might agree that the last couple of books were just okay. I liked From Dead to Worse but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Dead and Gone and can't wait to read the next book. Read it, read it, read it!

I swear to fucking God if she chooses Bill in the next book I'm going to scream so loud my family in NL will hear me.

This wasn't one of my favorite Sookie book, but I did enjoy it. This one deals more with weres (but where was Alcide besides text messaging) and fairies. And Sookie gets closer to Eric, but has a big realization about Bill. I hope the next book deals more with that triangle because I really wish there was more of that. There could have been less about Quinn and Octavia. This book also explains more about Sookie's parents' deaths - I always thought there was more to it. I hope there's another book and soon, because I can't wait!

Such a heartbreaking and suspenseful book. Eric and Sookie make the best couple!

Well, this is just overkill 🙈🤦🏻♀️

Listened to this on audiobook. Love the narrator 🤩 Re-listened on 23/03/2021 still one of my all time favorite series and ultimate comfort reads.
