wow! great book! dang, Sam really should get background checks on his cooks, 'cause they may turn out to be serial shooters! And also, pretty sure the cook position at Merlotte's is cursed, cause there is like a new cook every book. It must be like the defense against the dark arts teachers at Hogwarts, they don't last longer than a year! (or a couple months in this case) really curious how they're gonna do season 5 of True Blood, seeing as they're not making a Jason a werepanther, and that really contributes to the plot of this book.

I enjoyed Dead as a Doornail, but not as much as the other Sookie Stackhouse books. I missed the vampires too much and thought the Were rituals were kinda creepy. But I did feel for Sookie, getting dragged into more problems and I can't wait to see what's going to happen next.

I found this one to be a bit more mundane and relaxing compared to the other books in the series so far. Much more slow going with its big twists and action sequences

Probably my least favorite of the series

3,5/5

Great re-read via audiobook π
