I grabbed this on a whim at the library and read it while my car was getting worked on.

I couldn't stop myself from laughing at the author's disdain of the inaccurate use of English, well I couldn't agree more that rigour in all its shapes and syntaxes is a valuable quality that might get you ahead of anything...
(if the first thing you get after typing a "T" in your research bar is "Thesaurus", I believe you could relate xD) 
Since the author himself was reading this version, it felt more like a grandparent reflecting on his dos and donts in life. No matter how much vague it certainly was, it still gave some traditional and concise (very practical indeed) pieces of advice...
I kept thinking of his words as those of some from the other extreme...
