Citizen U.S.A.

This never-before published work was written and photographed in 1942 by two Manzanar volunteers--adult education director Charles Ferguson and conscientious objector/photographer A. Hennebold. The book chronicles life in the Manzanar concentration camp through the fictional voice of a real young resident of Manzanar. Her descriptions and words echo today and compel us to ask the same poignant questions that was asked nearly eight decades ago. "Isn't America still democratic?"
