Munger is the man. Some highlights: “Nothing has served me better in my long life than continuous learning. I went through life constantly practicing (because if you don’t practice it, you lose it) the multidisciplinary approach and I can’t tell you what that’s done for me. It’s made life more fun, it’s made me more constructive, it’s made me more helpful to others, and it’s made me enormously rich.” “An example of a really responsible system is the system the Romans used when they built an arch. The guy who created the arch stood under it as the scaffolding was removed. It’s like packing your own parachute.” “In my whole life, I have known no wise people (over a broad subject matter area) who didn’t read all the time—none, zero.” “Learning from the success and failure of others is the fastest way to get smarter and wiser without a lot of pain.”
