Book is a conversation between two people, one who intends to assassinate the President. My personal takeaway is that it in some ways parodies both the radical liberal and the “sensible” liberal, showing the powerlessness of both in the rage that people may feel about the decisions of the executive branch. It’s relevant to our times right now to see how this conversation has been had in America over and over again. Kaveh Akbar mentioned it in an interview so I am now excited to read ‘Martyr!’ And see the influence.
