Ok I'm going to admit this book taught me something I was unaware of: 
1) I do not particularly enjoy reading stories written in the 1st person, or at least not this one. 
2) I really hate that when the 1st person is having a conversion and every other sentence contains some version of "he/she said" 
It just feels awkward and u rewarding.

This may be a lovely book, but I'm too old and there are to many on my TBR list to spend any more time slogging through this.
