in regards to prior knowledge i have about psycho, i’ve only seen the hitchcock film & bates motel (both i watched years ago) before going into this novel. I think I was hoping for more suspense and scare factors throughout the novel. in the few thrillers i’ve read in general, there seems to be a trend of having the first half of the novel be boring and then at the end there’s a whole bunch of plot twists pulled out lmaoo 😂😭
