A Fete means guests. In this case it's artists and bakers. Like the previous book, these guests all have names similar to those of famous people or famous literary characters. Recognizing who they are named for adds to the humor but there's enough going on otherwise to still be an enjoyable read. http://pussreboots.com/blog/2023/comm...

** spoiler alert ** The illustrations in this book are astounding. I love the use of slight metaphors for well known classic. The end was a little bit sudden and I missed some pieces of information. I would have loved to know who won the baking contest. Overall a great book and not as scary as the first book.
