Even hotter than the first but in a totally different way. It was great watching the story unfurl when you could see how it would play out before the characters. I loved that this one was told from the perspective of BOTH characters, which made it a fun read (especially during their fights).

Não sou muito fã de ‘friends with benefits’ porque acho sempre que torna o livro muito previsível. Neste caso, eu achei o livro um pouco corrido e muito previsível. As personagens não eram tão cativantes como o primeiro, mas adorei os aparecimentos das personagens do primeiro livro e a construção para o casal do terceiro foi muito bem feita. Mesmo assim, não consigo dar mais pelo simples facto de ser muito, muito previsível.

Enjoyable! Harlow is really funny. Her banter and quips had me cracking up the whole time. I wasn't that into Finn's side of things. He was okay, I guess. (I think I'm definitely more of an Ansel kind of girl). But the story was nice.

Well.... I was not expecting to like it this much. At first I thought this was going to be the last book I'd read of the Wild Seasons series... but if the next one is about Oliver and Lola... sign. me. in!! 
I love Harlow!!!! Her personality and her jokes made me enjoy this book even more. It was a cute love story and the secondary aspects of the story were sad but added a lot to the plot. Overall happy with this book.

Finn is one of my favs, a big, quiet grump with a heart of gold and some mad skills with rope. Listening to this book was a true delight and I loved Sebastian York's voice for Finn. Harlow is also a fab heroine. I love that she knows she's hot, knows her worth, and is not afraid to let her light shine and to go for what she wants.

Wow, I treated you wrong with that old review book. You can see a huge change in my attitude towards romance as I've come to terms with the fact I LOVE ROMANCE and I'm not afraid to shout my love from the rooftops anymore. It is not trash, it is amazing, fun, and totally worth every minute I spend reading it. Sorry book. I really do love you and your sexy fisherman (and the rope).


While I usually detest the "we met and married after one wild night in Vegas" trope, I have to say this series is having fun (super steamy fun) with it. Also, since this is book #2, we don't dwell too much on those events, and instead dwell in the aftermath, namely that they married, quickly got it annulled despite the obvious sexual chemistry, but can't deny they still want each other even though they hate each other too. I love when characters have a past they are struggling against.

Again, with most of these, escapist trash at it's funnest.

Another really good story in the Wild Seasons series. This one wasn't quite as good as Sweet Filthy Boy, but almost. The characters seemed realistic and the problems they had were definitely tough to deal with, but this one just didn't pull the heartstrings as much as the first one. Once again, I read this book in one sitting. It was definitely gripping and well written. I can't wait for Dark Wild Night in September.

I probably should've written this review a long, LONG time ago. Last November I started the audiobook and then switched over to paperback because I couldn't wait for my next commute to get another dose of Finn and Harlow. After thinking of little other than Finn here lately, I decided to do a reread on audiobook and stick it out for the duration this time... no matter how badly I wanted ALL THE STORY immediately. I loved everything about this book – whether in paperback or audiobook. Though, Sebastian York, the narrator for Finn is damn near perfect, so I just might prefer the audio a little more. ;) 

Dirty Rowdy Thing is the second book in Christina Lauren's new adult Wild Seasons series, about two groups of friends who meet in Vegas and decide to get married – just to say they did. (Ahhh, college.) There were some quickie annulments to go with most of those weddings, but the initial chemistry between the characters never went away. It was actually the Wild Seasons series that made me fall in love with Christina Lauren's writing. I adored Ansel and Mia's story in Sweet Filthy Boy. It continues to be one of my favorite books of all-time. Well, Dirty Rowdy Thing is every bit as amazing and memorable. 

It's tough to say what I loved most about this book because, seriously, I loved every little bit of it. I wouldn't change a thing. Separately Finn and Harlow were wonderful characters, but there was just something about them together that made everything right in the world. These two just clicked. Their connection was powerful and chemistry intense. They were each dealing with family issues – Harlow with her mom's cancer and Finn with the possibility of losing his family's business and deciding what lengths he'd go to in order to keep that from happening – and were happy to get lost in each other for a little while. Finn leaned on Harlow a little more for support than she did in return, but I understood why. I guess I just really "got" both of these characters.

As I mentioned above, I read this one via audiobook this time around. What a perfect choice. I had some concerns with the female narrator going in, not because she wasn't amazing, but because she also voiced Mia in Sweet Filthy Boy. I was afraid I would only hear her as Mia. That wasn't a problem AT ALL. Shayna Thibodeaux is a fantastic narrator. She totally owned Harlow's character in this book. Harlow has a penchant for sarcasm and Shayna did it perfectly. And what can I say about Sebastian York except that he is one of my all-time favorite male narrators? He's amazing. I've listened to him voice several other characters, but he makes each one his own. Plus his voice is ridiculously sexy, so that made it even better. I can't think of two more perfect narrators for Finn and Harlow's story. Their pacing was perfect and it felt more like I was listening to a movie than hearing someone read a book. I can't recommend this audiobook highly enough. 

This book is one that I will probably reread for years to come just because I loved it that much. The romance was amazing and the sex was off-the-charts hot – Finn, bondage playtime, *swoon* – but Dirty Rowdy Thing offered much more than just that. I loved the friendships and family relationships. I enjoyed both characters' growth over the course of this book. I love love love LOVED the ending so hard. I even tear up a little when I think about just how perfect it was. I laughed and cried. I loved how all the characters from this series came together. It was wonderful to catch up with Ansel and Mia and get a little more of Oliver and Lola. (And I really can't wait for Oliver's book, even though, based on the blurb, I'm sure it's going to start off by ripping my heart out.) But, I'm willing to risk it because I just know I won't be disappointed in the end. Now I can go back to counting the days until Dark Wild Night is available.

I’m smiling so much!! God, how I adored Harlow and Finn. I had such high expectation for Dirty Rowdy Thing because I absolutely LOVED Sweet Filthy Boy. Now that I’ve read this book, I can say that I am so thrilled to have experienced Harlow and Finn’s story.

We know from Sweet Filthy Boy that Harlow and Finn got, well, married in Vegas. But unlike their friends Mia and Ansel, Harlow and Finn annulled their marriage. They hooked up, had some hot sex, got married, got divorced, and that was the end of that. Or was it?

Finn and Harlow know that don’t have much of a future together – Finn lives up in Canada, Harlow lives down in San Diego; Finn is a fisherman whose job supports his entire family, Harlow doesn’t really have a set job or career. They are two completely different people, and yet when they’re together, none of that matters. I loved Finn and Harlow’s relationship – or more specifically, the changing dynamics of their relationship. They start off, well, on the wrong foot. They are pretty much jerks to one another, using each other for sex. But eventually, feelings get involved and they start falling for the person they ended up marrying all along.

Harlow is the outgoing type of girl. She’s fun, hilarious, loud, and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. I adored this girl. I had so much fun reading her thoughts, her narrative. She has a huge heart and she’s incredibly loyal – to her friends, family, those she loves. Aaaand… you can totally tell how much she wants to hate Finn, but can’t. She doesn’t exactly like him in the beginning though.

Finn Roberts, the only guy who ever managed to dodge my convenient guy-category strategy—Finn Roberts, the notorious ex-husband-of-twelve-drunken-hours-in-Vegas, who was good with hands, lips, and body, and who made me come so many times he told me he thought I passed out.

When Finn comes down to San Diego for business reasons, sparks fly. Finn and Harlow inevitably see each other, and they can’t keep their hands off each other. They use one another to distract themselves from their worries and to escape reality for just a little while. It’s when it seems like there could be something more between them that they decide they should become friends instead, but that doesn’t exactly work out too well…

What I loved about Dirty Rowdy Thing was how much both Finn and Harlow changed because of each other. They learned something from each other – their preconceptions of each other were wrong, and they learned to see who the other person really is. They do hide things from each other – they don’t want each other to know their vulnerabilities, but when they do share parts of themselves that no one else knows, it’s easy for them to fall in love. They fall fast and they fall hard for the one person they can be themselves with.

He could only do rowdy because he felt what I felt: that whip-crack unleashing that comes when you meet the person who frees you.

Oh gosh, I freaking adore Christina Lauren’s writing. And thank god for dual narrative!! I loved being in both Harlow and Finn’s heads. And I ADORED the banter between them. Every conversation had me smiling and giggling. As much as I loved Finn, I do have to admit that I still love Ansel the most ;) (Although that could totally change once I read Oliver’s book.) Finn was still ridiculously hot though. The pages in this book were ON. FIRE. Oh my god, the things that Finn says and does. I totally did NOT expect him to be the way he was, but I LOVED it. One sexy, hunky fisherman for me please!

Dirty Rowdy Thing was just so much FUN to read. It has an unforgettable cast of characters who will have you smiling so much. I wholeheartedly adored everything about this book!
