It took him WAY too long to be all in, I want to read guys who are into their girls. The grovel was decent at least and the spice was wonderful but just not enough to cover the emotional aspects of their relationship

I am not sure... but I enjoyed this book! it was different from the books I've read of the Beautiful series, and it was refreshing, if a little depressing, and not at all what I was expecting. Off course it was infuriating at times, but the open communication and the honesty was amazing. Besides... he's and Stella, I was in love before I even knew him.

Christina Lauren is a master in creating an addicting series. She does another fantastic job in Beautiful Secret. She knows how to combine two total opposite people together that they make a total hot and sexy couple together. In Beautiful Secret, we get to met Niall Stella, a familiar character in previously books, and the a new character, Ruby. OMG, I definitely loving Niall Stella because he is a sexy British man. Oh, I just love the British accent from Niall. Niall is a very uptight men that he does not know how to loose up at all. But he will lose her uptight personality when he meets the quirky yet sexy Ruby. I really enjoy Ruby personality because she always have something to say that makes me laugh in the reading. She is the perfect match for Niall. They are perfect for each other but it will come with some challenges from their work and personality life. Those challenges will determine if they are truly meant for each other. I definitely root for them because they are made for each other. I did not hold out hope for them even through the last couple of chapters. I know they belong for each other. Christina Lauren has done a magnificent job in Beautiful Secret because it has comedy and romance for readers to read! *Five Stars*

This has to be my least favorite full-length novel in this Beautiful Bastard Series. I did still really enjoy it... it just didn't really add anything significant to the series. (in my opinion). We only met Niall for like five seconds in a novella. (I have actually decided to not review the novellas because they're all a bit much.)

From reading other reviews on Goodreads, I see that Ruby is kind of mention in Christina Lauren's other series and I honestly don't know if I want to pick that one up or not...

Anywho. Ruby and Niall are probably my least favorite couple as well. I kind of feel like Niall was a bit bland. Ruby deserves someone who isn't so dense. There were times I wanted to smack the crap out of Niall because he's an idiot. 

Even though I didn't really like Niall, I still enjoyed this book somehow. His density made this book entertaining. It was hilarious to watch him be stupid about women. 

It just wasn't my favorite...

Reading this book was like eating a big ol' fast food meal. It goes down real tasty, but when you think about why you liked it, you feel sort of bad. Whatever. It was basically a ridiculous plot revolving around a hot, older, rich man falling for a quirky intern and boning her brains out. The sex scenes were pretty hot.

I’m not entirely sure I can accurately express just how much I loved Niall Stella, Ruby and everything about Beautiful Secret. Understand that my review will not do this book justice and it’s something you just need to enjoy for yourself. Now, on with my babble.

The characters in this book were incredible. I loved that Niall was different – less experienced – than Christina Lauren’s other men. He’d been married once and that ended pretty poorly. She was his first everything so he wasn’t exactly in a hurry to get back out there after they split. He focused mostly on work and his friends/family and left little time for anything else. Once Ruby started chipping through his walls, there was an unexpected vulnerability to him that I loved. Ruby was my favorite type of heroine. She was strong, driven, sure of what she wanted and unafraid to go after it. I’m so accustomed to the man being more experienced, more promiscuous, but that’s not what you’ll find here. I love that. It made the story and characters stand out even more to me. Plus it made for one seriously HOT SLOW BURN of sexual tension. I swear there were sparks flying from my copy of the book. Wow.

Beautiful Secret might be reminiscent in some ways of Beautiful Bastard because of the lusting after the intern angle, but that’s where the similarities end. Bennett was a jerk. Niall is the furthest thing from it. This guy definitely got under my skin. I loved how slowly, organically things developed between him and Ruby. They were easy to cheer for. They had heat, but they had some pretty real feelings, too. And while this wasn’t a “feel all the feels” kind of book, exactly, it definitely had its moments. I got a little bit teary eyed a couple times.

One of my favorite things about this book, and the series as a whole is the bromance between Bennett, Max, Will and Niall. It seems to get better with each new book. I’m a sucker for a good bromance and its no coincidence some of my favorite books feature them prominently. Of course, the ladies in this book are nothing to sneeze at either. I really liked how Ruby fit in with all of them.

So, yeah… I have zero complaints. I loved this book. You need this one in your life. :) Each of the books in the Beautiful Bastard series has a place in my heart, but this one is undoubtedly my favorite.

While I've read the first three books in this series before, this was a first time read for me. And it did not disappoint, although not my favorite in the series. 

In this one we follow Max Stella's (from book #2) brother, Niall, and Ruby (who is a friend of characters from Christina Lauren's Wild Seasons series). Niall and Ruby work together, but not in the same way as Chloe and Bennett do in book #1 (aka: Niall is not Ruby's boss). They end up taking a four week long business trip to New York together.

I loved how Niall had to come out of his shell. It was nice to see a male character who was more reserved and needed time to be comfortable with dating. In the romance books I've read, that's usually the other way around, so it was a nice change of pace. I enjoyed Ruby as a character. Watching her and Niall grow as individuals and a couple was something you could see from the very beginning.

Overall, this was a four star book for me. It follows the same formula as the others (which I don't mind at all), but it didn't stand out as a favorite from the series. I'm super glad that I read it!

Christina Lauren is one of my FAVORITE authors ever – I will read anything and everything they write! They write such incredible books with compelling characters that it’s hard not to fall in love with every word. When I heard they were writing a new Beautiful Bastard book, I HAD to get my hands on it. I freaking adore this series, and I couldn’t wait to read about Max’s brother Niall. I LOVE Max, and now we get to know not one but TWO sexy British men in this series!

If you’re a fan of the series, you should know that Beautiful Secret has a much different feel than the other books, though I loved it in its own way. There’s a wicked hot chemistry between the hero and heroine, but the romance between them is fumbling and slow. Nonetheless, Beautiful Secret is another winner from this fantastic author duo – it’s a sexy, sweet, adorably awkward book that fans of the series shouldn’t miss.

Ruby Miller has had a crush on Niall Stella since she first saw him at her job in London. It was so adorable how much she liked Niall – she’s an outgoing girl, but would always act shy and awkward anytime she’s around him. It made her so down-to-earth and relatable. Niall is a lot more reserved than Ruby. He’s recently divorced, but his marriage has a more lasting effect on him, making him cautious of starting a new relationship. Having been in only one relationship in his life, he’s clueless about women, and he’s clueless about Ruby’s crush on him. He nearly doesn’t know she exists, until they’re placed together on a work assignment and Niall can’t help but notice this gorgeous, passionate girl who fires him up unlike any other.

Like I said before, the romance between Niall and Ruby in this book is slow, but it doesn’t make it any less amazing. I loved the way Ruby and Niall got to slowly explore each other, in and out of bed. Ruby is sweet, loving, and patient as she coaxes Niall out of his closed-off demeanor. She’s got so much enthusiasm and fire in her that I loved this girl instantly. Niall, though, I took a while to warm up to, unlike the other Beautiful Bastard men. Niall is very unlike the other heroes of the Beautiful Bastard series – he’s different than a lot of heroes I’ve read before, actually, and it was a breath of fresh air to read about him. Because of his previous relationship, he’s withdrawn into himself – he’s not confident about himself or about women. He fumbles with Ruby, he’s a bit formal with her, but as they spend more time together, they grow more comfortable with each other. Ruby awakens in him a sexuality that he never thought he was capable of, and it’s highly sensual seeing Niall discover his desire for Ruby, and seeing him act on it. I fell in love with him gradually alongside Ruby, with this man who had so much heart but never had anyone to give it to.

What I love about Christina Lauren’s writing is that they write such real, believable characters that you don’t want to let go of. I found myself glued to the pages of Beautiful Secret, not that that’s surprising. I was surprised by the awkwardness between the characters, though the awkwardness was written in the most endearing way. This is a book about discovering yourself, to opening your heart up to another person, despite the risks, so of course there should be some fumbling during this journey. Everything about this book is painstakingly real and honest – it just took a while for me to warm up to it. I may not have loved Beautiful Secret as much as the previous two books in the series, but it’s definitely a book worth reading. I absolutely adored reading about Niall and Ruby!
