Sugar & Spice
Reviews

I've received a ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Engaging characters and realistic conflicts/situations made this novel for me. The chemistry between Devin and Kayla are out of this world. Their unorthodox relationship starts off with rules then slowly escalates to a heartwarming romance. A must read!

I received a free copy of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Enjoyable for its novelty. This book really turns the tables on the scenario that is seen so often in books these days. Instead of the rich man creating a relationship of convenience with the poor/less advantaged female, we are given the story of a strong, successful rich woman who has a somewhat damaged past as far as relationships go and is looking for a "relationship" of convenience with a man. Kayla is great, her emotions and personality feel very real and believable. Likewise, Devin comes across as an awesome and genuine character. I did have a little trouble though in believing the scenario created to bring them together in the first place. Definitely a very convenient plot device. That being said, I enjoyed their dynamic and watching their relationship change through the story. I feel like some resolutions reached later in the book were a little too easy and too convenient, but they didn't detract at all from my enjoyment overall. I hadn't read the first book in the series, so I think it is safe to say this can be read as a standalone, but I will definitely be going back and reading it now!
