Who is Ana Mendieta?
Ana Mendieta pushed the boundaries of expression as one of the early members of conceptual and performance art movements. This powerful biography tells the fascinating and controversial story of the artist's life and work in graphic format, from her immigration to the US from Cuba to escape the dictatorial regime in 1961, to her groundbreaking artworks which lead to her being one of the only Cuban Americans to have works in museums around the world, to Ana's controversial and tragic death, believed by many to be murder at the hands of her artist husband, Carl Andre.

I’m angry that I knew very little of the information and history that is in this. But now I just want to know more. If anyone is reading this you should pick this graphic novel up. Also look up Ana’s Silueta series because they are so beautiful and powerful.
