'A Matter of Justice' written by Christy Reece is the fourth novel to the Grey Justice series. It is a romantic suspense novel about a group gaining justice for victims in which the law has failed them.

Characters

Irelyn Raine, an orphan child, is strong, resilient and a mystery. Much of her past is kept secret until all is unveiled bit by bit.

Grey Justice is a billionaire philanthropist who started the Grey Justice Group after a traumatic event. Grey is very understanding, patient, and quiet.

Romance

Irelyn and Grey have known each other since they were teenagers. Consequently after something she was involved in, Irelyn was always under the belief that she was not good enough for him. Thus, over the years, they have had a tumultuous relationship.

Final Thoughts

Christy Reece has become one of my favourite authors for romantic suspense novels. This book certainly didn't disappoint. It is a well-written story with a plot that was interesting and characters who weren't at all one-dimensional. The intertwined background stories of both Irelyn and Grey were heartbreaking and interesting at the same time.

This could be read as a standalone. But if you want to know more about the secondary characters who are in the Grey Justice group, you should read it.

I highly recommend this book for fans of Christy Reece as well as new readers who love romantic suspense novels.

Irelyn Raine and Grey Justice have had an off and on relationship that has lasted most of their lives, but it is the people in their shared past that have kept them apart. Irelyn spent most of her childhood being raised by a master assassin who was training Irelyn to take over his business until Grey helped her escape. Grey has been getting justice for victims since he was a young man. When Irelyn finally decides to put the past behind her, Grey finds himself being threatened by an unknown force, trying to end his life.
In this fourth and final book in the Grey Justice series, we finally get Grey's story. There are many obstacles for the characters in this book, but the biggest one seems to be their own fear of finally trying to make a go of their relationship. For a book about killers, there is a great deal of conversation and very little action until the last part of the book. However, the dialogue is well written and the story is intriguing enough to keep the reader interested until the very end. Overall, a good ending to a very good series.
