When Giselle Reddington wakes up in a mental institution with no memory of who she is or why she is there, she begins to plan her escape. Raphael Sanchez is one of Last Chance Rescue's elite operatives. After Giselle left him years before, he focused on his career at Last Chance Rescue. He sees Giselle for the first time in years, when disguised as a boy, she comes to the hospital room of Noah McCall whose wife and children have been kidnapped for the purpose of getting Giselle out in the open in. Raphael's anger is only superseded by his desire to help his mentor get his family back, and Giselle says she can help.
These two characters were featured as teenagers in Sweet Revenge, Last Chance Rescue #8. As an action/romance, this book lives up to expectation. As the title suggests, there is plenty of running and hiding in this book. Many of the characters from previous LCR and LCR Elite novels play parts in this story. The main characters are likable, but some of their actions are difficult to understand or condone. Simple communication would have solved most of their problems. Overall, however, this is another good addition to the LCR Elite Series.
