I cant believe this was written by Susan Ee after the amazing works of Angelfall! 

First of all this is an easy light read, I finished it in 2 sittings. I do appreciate that its less descriptive and more dialogue and plot based.
But some descriptiveness is needed. I really wanted a new book bf and the Prince is not. He's barely a character in this. 

Im not a fan of cinderella anyway but I was hoping this retelling would be good. It just wasnt.

I really enjoyed the story of Cinder & the Prince of Midnight but I feel like it was executed poorly. The book feels very rushed. I feel like I was being rushed from one spot in the story to the next right as I was getting pulled into the part I was at. It was like a speedrun. There are so many different places where a bit more depth and history could've drawn the story together better and become an amazing retelling.

I also found an overuse of the characters name and could do without hearing the word 'Cinder' for quite awhile.

The story itself was intriguing, I just wish more effort was put into the idea. This book took me less than 2 hrs to read so it's a fast book to get through and is great for reaching your reading goals. I would definitely say it is worth the read.

This was shorter than I'd hoped for, but an interesting take on Cinderella. I'm looking forward to what else Susan Ee has in store for us!
