I was really enjoying this book throughout. It was tense and creepy and on track for a 5 stars but I just found the ending, specifically the reveals, so underwhelming. Half of what happened throughout the book had absolutely nothing to do with the main plot. It felt like it didn’t all fit together properly, like there were 5 different books running alongside each other and it just wasn’t for me.

I’ve read all of C.L. Taylor’s books so far and I love her. She’s an amazing thriller writer with fantastic twists and turns. Always keeps me guessing and always keeps me hooked. 

This was a bit of a disappointment. The weakest of her books. To be fair to her, for me at least, I hold her books to a high standard because of how awesome they’ve been so far. This one was a bit of a let down.

Three strangers living in Bristol slowly have their lives connect through chances encounters. But how are they all connected? And how can they put a stop to the horror that’s coming? 

I just didn’t get into it. The whole way through I was waiting for a big reveal, a big shock, an OMG moment... and it never came for me. The characters were well defined but I found their storylines kind of bland and the way they were connected, while shown in a reveal kind of way, wasn’t enough of a shock twist for me. I wanted a gasp out loud moment and it never came.

Krystal Campbell 

This book brings you a fast paced thriller in the way it reads but slow in plot, with a high impact ending and a high level of intrigue. It is multiple POV (Some of the characters are a bit meh) 

It his however as mentioned slow burn. It took a while for their lives to intertwine and that bothered me a little. A lot of the action was at the end of the book which disappointed me. 

Also some of the characters actions were unrealistic or annoying (Alice)
