Declining invitations is one of the perks of small children

a lot that perfectly describes marriage and motherhood. The forward backward in chapters was kind of confusing.

Julia Ames. What do I say about the main character of Same As It Ever Was? She's prickly, often unlikable, and makes choices that can drive you crazy. But her pain from her childhood, motherhood, and growing older shine through this novel. I loved reading her story. By the end, I even loved Julia. All the stars.
