The Burned Sinner and the Harmonious Angels

fun short story reads about really interesting topics that clarice delves into. my personal favourite is “love”, i could really feel the intensity of the horror aspects written with the insanity whirlwind the character faces. it’s so gory and mind blowing the way she writes when a character loses herself over something unpredictable. and the way the character is written with its storytelling gosh this was an incredible read. a marvel.

as always the writing is just so endearing. just reading all these stories made me feel so much about life in ways that i haven’t been able to feel. her writing really comes through when she emphasises slow burn insanities or the rise of emotional distress in one’s soul. this book really reveals that it’s just so brilliant the way she does it.
