           I read this book many years ago in the fourth or fifth grade for the first time. The Babysitters Club was one of my favorite series as a child. I remember devouring book after book. However, this one in particular has always stuck with me. I remember being super proud of myself because this was the first chapter book I had ever read in one sitting. Years later as an adult I realize how realistic the topic of death is portrayed. Even for a children’s audience this book packs an emotional punch. The death of Mimi hit me just as hard today as it did ten plus years ago.
