Back in March when I started this book I had just watched Jackie, the movie with Natalie Portman. The movie inspired me to want to learn more about her than I already did so I ran to my Kennedy Family book collection and picked this one. I've wanted to read this book since the first time I saw it recommended in People Magazine. I was a little disappointed

Overall I enjoyed the book reading about Mrs Kennedy and her secret service agent Clint Hill. All the adventures they went on from D.C. to Greece. It was great to here her appreciation for all the cultures she visited but felt after many chapters of different trips it started to sound repetitive. Looking back I see that these chapters were necessary for the book to show the bond these two people made over 3 years but it bored me and I wondered to other books in the meantime. 

I don't think I was 100% into the book until well into the second half. Unfortunately It was when the tragic events started to happen...

The chapters about Patrick and The day in Texas had me on the edge of my seat on and emotional roller coaster. Even though I knew the outcome.

Clint Hill successfully displayed his true emotions and feelings for this family, Mrs Kennedy the most. The last big thing that hit me that was one of the most upsetting things about the book was him taking the blame of the death of the president. "If I had only run faster"

I wanted to love this book but I didn't. As a whole it changed me and I did like it.
