I Hate Everyone, Except You by Clinton Kelly

I sometimes watched the TV show "What Not to Wear" and even though I do not cook, I will turn "The Chew" on if I am home on a weekday, so I enjoyed Kelly's snark and sarcasm and figured I would try his book of essays. At times while reading, I snickered, smiled and laughed. Kelly covers a lot of topics with honesty and snark and it made for an enjoyable read. I finished the book in a day. I borrowed the book from the public library.

I really didn't like this book. It was a series of essays-which I did enjoy instead of just a running bio-narrative of Kelly's life. I also like some of the inner-monologues and self-conscious concerns Kelly had; they were similar to my own. However, I didn't enjoy the jumping from present to past tense in the same paragraph or sentence-it was jarring. Also, there was just something that I couldn't put my finger on that wasn't to my taste. However, I know several people who would enjoy this book; so I'm sure it just didn't agree with me.
