Sweet Berries Cambric Creek: Sweet & Steamy Monster Romance Book 2
Reviews

I’m not usually a mothman kind of person but… wow. This book was short, sweet, spicy and also SO incredibly cute. I adore the Cambric Creek books so much and I cant wait for the next installment !!

OMG ! This was so so good
The MMC is not only a testified cinnamon roll, I’m pretty sure he invented the concept of being a pure cinnamon roll. He was so so sweet and his interactions with the FMC made me giggle as much as the FMC giggles at his sweetness. He stammers, how cute is that ? I assure you it is cute. I loved them.
The tension was top tier and the spice did not disappoint although not as spicy as the first book. Ugh
The only thing is I wished more time with them. I didn’t realise I was reading the last chapter 💀
This book confirms that Nascosta became one of my favourite monster romance author

The timeline of this is a little confusing at times, and there is a good amount of filler than doesn't feel necessary.. but the romance and spice were *chefs kiss*. A mothman romance almost done perfectly.. almost.

2.5 stars Definitely not as fun as the first book in this companion series.

Danggggg sis was thirsty as heck the whole time, I mean I am too but gah dang.
I mean it's only an issue because that was her only thought ever, just got boring real quick.

I'm not too sure where my feelings for this book lie after having just finished the book. I loved the idea of it. A down on love horny woman giving an exhibitionist show to an unknown stranger lurking outside of her window. It started off great, and I thought I really liked the characters. Merrick is similar to my boyfriend in a so passionate about what you're talking about that it comes across as a know-it-all who can sometimes rub people the wrong way, but can be very very sweet kind of personality. However, I never felt like we got very much time in the moment of their relationship. The writing was so weird timeline wise. In one chapter there would be three separate scenes being described. So we would be in the present scene, and then a mention of something that happened off page would trigger a description or flashback of that, and then in the midst of that you would sometimes get another meandering thought, scene, or flashback. It was at times very confusing, and unfortunately took me out of the story too much. Also, I want the build-up of relationship building scenes to be on page, not in whatever weird way this story presented itself. Overall, great concept and interesting characters (although I couldn't remember the main female character's name), but weird writing style that heavily detracted from the story for me. I think this is a great small-town paranormal romance series, and it's very unique with good concepts so I would recommend it and will pick up the next book, but it may be hit or miss as far as the writing style.
