Wow this book was everything! I adored Kieran and Seth, their relationship and dynamics were just brilliantly written. I think this is one of the rare books that I would love to see made into a film or maybe a mini series.

This was a cute, short novella with an office romance between an older, broody supervisor and his younger, very open and honest employee. I loved Kieran and his no filter mouth, his struggle with choosing to be open about himself but also not inconveniencing others, his total honesty about his feelings. Seth may look grumpy and cold, but underneath he is just a loner who doesn’t know how to express himself. I think they were perfect for each other. I also loved the setting of this story at a political campaign office. That gave the story a very refreshing feel. I just wish the story was longer and characters more fleshed out.

What a wonderfully sweet and steamy novella this was. After reading ‘Peter Darling’ by the same author, I knew I had to check out more of his work.

‘Coffee Boy’ is all about Kieran who recently lands a really great internship. The problem is that it’s hard being an out trans man in the workplace, and his supervisor Seth doesn’t make the job any more enjoyable. But as Kieran slowly starts to realise that Seth isn’t as cold as he seems, he starts to develop feelings for him.

If you’re looking for a quick, sweet romance that’s also filled with sexual tension, this is it.

I absolutely loved Kieran’s character. He’s just so honest, to the point where he can be blunt at times. He had to hold his tongue a lot of the time. I also really related to him struggling to find his place in life and what he wants to do with himself.

Seth was also wonderful. I have a soft spot for the cold exterior, but actually really supportive and caring on the inside. He’s also bisexual and I have to say I haven’t seen that many bisexual men in books.

For how short this book is, I think it did a phenomenal job at setting everything up. From background information to the actual progression of Seth and Kieran’s relationship, it was all believable and done well.

I couldn’t give it the full five stars as it is an office romance and those don’t really appeal to me that much.

All in all, a really great and short romance.

Esta novela corta nos cuenta la historia de Kiernan, un chico trans que comienza a trabajar en una oficina electoral gracias a la recomendación de un ex profesor. Allí va a conocer a Seth, otro oficinista con el cual entablará una relación un tanto turbulenta pero que irá evolucionando. Es una historia muy TIERNA a la vez que educativa, pero la sentí demasiado corta y como que todo apuntaba solamente a una escena de sexo 😒 Aún así lo disfruté un montón! Ojalá el autor escriba otra historia con estos personajes!
