CONTAINS SPOILERS BTW⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ Its… sad. Idk mixed opinions like i loved the begining when they were dating and married and i got so mad at the divorce. I understand why she did it but on the other hand now that they had a kid it could of been different. She could of j given him another chance. Im also mad abt the Atlas thing like i feel so bad for Ryle if he finds out they gonna date. I feel like my rating could change when I read it starts with us but for now Im keeping it at a 4 star.

I dived into this without knowing what to expect. I normally would read a few reviews before picking up my next read so I’ll know what I’m getting myself into but the lack of knowledge this time was so much worth it. This book wasn’t what I was expecting but it delivered so much more than I hoped for. I’ve read too many heroines at this point and I can adamantly tell you that Lily is by far, the one I most admire. She’s so real and strong yet vulnerable and her conviction over the course of the story molded her to a heroine/woman I aspire to become someday. In fact, I believe every woman should aspire to be like her. She hasn’t made all the right decisions as we all don’t but I still found myself rooting for her every step of the way. I am still flooded with emotions 24 hours after finishing this. I feel tragic, raw, sad, elated. It was a rollercoaster of feelings and I honestly felt spent emotionally after the last page. There were times when I couldn’t handle my own heart so I had to stop to cry, breathe and gather myself. It broke me. This book tore open a huge hole in my heart and as I sat bawling my eyes out I had to ask myself where all those tears and hurt were coming from. I haven’t personally been in the situation Lily found herself into but it affected me on a deep level. That’s what’s amazing about this. If I have to sum up what this book is about I’d say this: it’s a story of unshakeable strength and love and ultimately finding the courage to make the right decisions in the hardest situation. P.S. I am officially joining the Colleen Hoover fan club and bandwagon. Hope I’m not too late!

i don't care about the controversy with colleen hoover, i absolutely adore her writing. i have read 3 of her books, and i have absolutely loved all 3, and they have all made me cry. i love a good book that makes me cry and allows me to feel the emotions of the narrators and other characters as well. as somebody who has witnessed domestic violence, this book really got to me and helped me feel a bit more understood about the experiences i've had. awesome book! i also love how there are extra scenarios added along to the fact that the narrator was in an abusive relationship.

Ok I understand the hype! I did not cry but this book opened a bunch of other emotions for me. Firstly, I love how Ryle and Lily's relationship was portrayed so perfectly before it went down hill. I mean like I was fully shipping them at the start. I love that she left him. And I also love how there are connections between her parents relationship and her and ryle's. This book perfectly shows the emotional manipulation that occurs during abusive relationships with Ryle's character. I only wish it was a bit longer :((

Finished it in two days however I don’t think I’d read again. The movie did not do this book justice however and I blame Blake lively and whoever casted her

Problematic. But also nuanced. Problematic because I felt like it romanticised DV. Nuanced because as someone who was in a similar situation, it is truly not that black and white. Overall, I thought the characters and story were unrealistic (e.g. penthouses, florist, homeless teenager idk), but maybe it wasn't my kind of story. It also triggered me a bit so I might be biased.

I wanted to hate this book SO BADLY!! It was pretty cheesy at times. But I read this faster than I thought possible! I truly loved it and think I read it at the most perfect time in my life. 5/5 stars

It Ends with Us is a story that stayed with me for a while after I finished reading it. I was quickly drawn into the narrative, and I felt very connected to the main character as I was reading. It was the kind of book where I experienced the emotions alongside her, almost like I was going through everything with a friend. There were moments that made me smile, but also parts that were genuinely heavy and difficult to sit through, so I had to put the book down at times. At the same time, I probably would not have picked this book up on my own. I cannot fully explain why, but the cover and general impression never really attracted me. I read it mostly because of how popular it was, and out of curiosity. What surprised me was how intense and emotionally heavy it became. It deals with difficult themes, and it really makes you stop and think. Even after finishing it, it kept lingering in my mind for some time, which shows how impactful it was. I also have to admit I expected a different ending. I think part of my expectations were shaped by how widely discussed the book is, so I was a bit disappointed when it did not end the way I had imagined. Overall, it is a very emotional and heavy read that is easy to get immersed in, but also quite difficult to go through at times. It is not something I would normally pick, but I can understand why it is so popular.

I just really do not enjoy Colleen Hoover as an author. I think that mature topics and content is not written with maturity, care, or proper research/experience. It Ends With Us is a book with very mature content and yet it has extremely cringey dialogue and is incredibly predictable. I also feel like it romanticizes trauma.

the beginning was good, def a little fast-paced near the end, but it was nice, emotional rollercoaster

cliche at times, with bits that made me feel like i was reading a wattpad novel with how conveniently things fell into place, but overall : not as bad as i thought it would be.

think it handled dv in a pretty sincere manner in its own way, and i think reading the author’s note made the message more poignant. just. not really sure why it got all the hype.

also:: cannot get baldoni and lovely’s faces out of my mind. even more convinced now too that the “”costume”” choices for the movie were aWFUL.

I loved and hated Ryle for what he did to Lily, this makes me realize that sometimes sorry seems cheap. For Atlas, I loved that he waited for Lily to heal before he took a move. Although, I have read many spoilers from booktok and bookstagram, I thought it wouldn't hurt but I have the urge to cry silently thinking that I might wake someone. This one is the best and I can't wait to read more of Ms. Colleen Hoover's books.

It's so sad that I can't tell my friends how beautifully written this book is, since they don't read english books. I am relieved and happy with what Lily's decision is. I loved and hated Ryle for what he did to Lily, this makes me realize that sometimes sorry seems cheap. For Atlas, I loved that he waited for Lily to heal before he took a move. Although, I have read many spoilers from booktok and bookstagram, I thought it wouldn't hurt but I have the urge to cry silently thinking that I might wake someone. This one is the best and I can't wait to read more of Ms. Colleen Hoover's books.

I had mixed feelings while reading this story. I could feel very sad and hurt when the behaviors of abuse, toxic relationships, and attempted rape appeared in the story. I wanted to try to learn the best lessons from the author's experience, but there were many things that made me uncomfortable while reading this book. Particularly, when Atlas and Lily's relationship started when they were very young, or when Ryle and Lily's very confusing relationship can be resolved in a way that makes no sense. Although I didn't really like reading this book, but at least I got a lot of lessons and different perspectives after reading this book.
