Reminders of Him

A troubled young mother yearns for a shot at redemption in this heartbreaking yet hopeful story from #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover.

After serving five years in prison for a tragic mistake, Kenna Rowan returns to the town where it all went wrong, hoping to reunite with her four-year-old daughter. But the bridges Kenna burned are proving impossible to rebuild. Everyone in her daughter’s life is determined to shut Kenna out, no matter how hard she works to prove herself.

The only person who hasn’t closed the door on her completely is Ledger Ward, a local bar owner and one of the few remaining links to Kenna’s daughter. But if anyone were to discover how Ledger is slowly becoming an important part of Kenna’s life, both would risk losing the trust of everyone important to them.

The two form a connection despite the pressure surrounding them, but as their romance grows, so does the risk. Kenna must find a way to absolve the mistakes of her past in order to build a future out of hope and healing.

i have so many things to say about this book. it was so incredibly deep and emotional to read, and insanely captivating. reading through kenna's story and witnessing her fight to get her daughter back, and really meet her daughter was so suspenseful, but it had an ending that was worth all of the tears, struggle, and melancholy. this book also shocked me in many ways with how many mirrors there were between the characters and the story of Kenna and Diem. i want to watch this move sometime for sure.

Reminders of Him was an extremely emotional and difficult read for me. The story pulled me in very quickly, and I felt deeply connected to everything that was happening. It deals with heavy themes that made it hard to get through at times, and I often had to pause just to process what I was reading. It is one of those books that feels very personal and intense, even while you are still in the middle of it. What stood out most was how strongly I felt for the main character. Her emotions, regrets, and attempts to rebuild her life felt very real, and that made the story even more heartbreaking. There were so many moments that were painful to read, but also beautifully written in a very emotional way. I cried while reading this book, and by the end I was completely drained emotionally. It is not an easy story, but it is very impactful and stays with you long after finishing it.

3,5 💗 ale jak dla mnie najgorsza książka coho

This was not the soppy romance I thought it would be. I'm pleasantly surprised. This was an emotional roller coaster and such an easy read! I could not put it down.

the ending was absolutely everything Kenna deserved since the beginning. i’ve never been this happy for a fictional character

There hasn’t been a CoHo book that hasn’t made me sob, which is also the reason why i need breaks between reading her stuff. Since the beginning of the book i was rooting for Kenna to get her life back together even if that meant she didn’t end up with Ledger. Forgiveness is a beautiful thing that we all take for granted and i was so happy that she was able to get it.

Colleen does it again. Wow.

I’m not normally a person who gets emotional when it comes to books that involve children but, damn. This book was amazing.
