It was an ok book. This was actually my second time reading it. The first time, I was much younger and had remembered this book fondly as a really fascinating introduction to Indian mythology tied into a modern-day quest (I had just finished my Percy Jackson obsession and was looking for something similar).

However, this second time going through this series is proving to be disappointing. The writing is off and the whole plot line, as well as character relationships, seems forced and stilted at times. The only redeeming quality of this is the whole integration of mythology, as Ms. Houck is able to tie in mythology from all over the world, not just India (and provides some interesting insight into how many cultures share similar stories and beliefs, just with slightly differed characters and stories).

The overall quest that Kelsey continues to pursue is interesting and worth some attention but some parts are forced and seem to have just been created for no reason at all (to make the quest seem more interesting? most things just don't work out the way I think the author intended them to...)

Basically, if you're able to ignore the stilted writing and awkward transitions, this is a good book to read if you want a YA introduction to Indian mythology.

One word: Wow

I loved this book so much! One of my internet friends told me about these books so I thought I'd read them and I'm so glad I did.

This book is soo much better than the first one.
I loved the whole date thing at the beginning of the book. I mean everybody was looking to going out with her and I loved that she did go out with them.
I loved Kishan in this book I'm in love with him seriously. The quest in this book was great, this book is filled with action, adventure, drama, romance. It has it all. Although I was in shock in the last few chapters, we'll see what happens in the next book.

Great fantasy book filled with action and a cute romance. I thought that this was a good followup to the first book. I am really enjoying this fun series. For a full review visit Dark Faerie Tales: http://darkfaerietales.com/review-tig...

Back in Oregon, Kelsey tries to pick up the pieces of her life and push aside her feelings for Ren. But danger lurks around the corner, forcing her to return to India where she embarks on a second quest-this time with Ren's dark, bad-boy brother Kishan, who has also fallen prey to the Tiger's Curse. Fraught with danger, spellbinding dreams, and choices of the heart, TIGER'S QUEST brings the trio one step closer to breaking the spell that binds them.
