Cosí è la vita imparare a dirsi addio
Of aging, being weak, inadequate, even now talk of dying in secret. Children are denied the experience of the end. The frailty, suffering, defeat is a source of frustration and shame. The aesthetics of youth forces many women in prison, and nailing the perfect body in a deadly present, unable to give us consolation, even happiness. In this intense, surprisingly joyful narrative inquiry, Conchita De Gregorio asks us to follow in these places removed from the contemporary discourse. Funerals and diseases, failures and defeats, if observed and lived with dignity and sharing become missed opportunities for growth, happiness, fulfillment. Because if there is no greater anguish of solitude and silence, there is no better relief through the pain and turn it into strength.
