my coworker sent this to me and it was so heartwarming π

just perfect, I'll remind myself his words every morning.

I can definitely say that it would be truly unkind to give this piece a bad review. :)) Jokes aside, itβs basically like a good friend holding you by the shoulder, whispering a reminder of how we ought to pursue life, in case we forget.

A lovely little illustrated transcript of a commencement speech. I read it cover to cover on my way to work, and will be glad to reread whenever I need to be reminded to seize opportunities for kindness.

Highlights

Find out what makes you kinder, what opens you up and brings out the most loving, generous, and unafraid version of youand go after those things as if nothing else matters. Because, actually, nothing else does.

So here's something I know to be true, although it's a little corny, and I don't quite know what to do with it: What I regret most in my life are failures of kindness. Those moments when another human being was there, in front of me, suffering and I responded ... sensibly. Reservedly. Mildly. Or, to look at it from the other end of the telescope: Who, in your life, do you remember most fondly, with the most undeniable feelings of warmth? Those who were kindest to you, I bet. It's a little facile, maybe, and certainly hard to implement, but I'd say, as a goal in life, you could do worse than: Try to be kinder.
