Connie Willis proves her versatility once again! I love her books because there are no two alike and even though I didn't like "Lincoln's Dreams" as much as other Willis novels, it is still a very good read. The book is not as amusing as other Willis books and the characters can sometimes be difficult to understand but once I started reading I couldn't put it down. Willis describes the Civil War with extreme accuracy and at the same time she manages to make the story a very personal one for the reader. She had me want to go out and read everybook ever written about the Civil War:) An excellent read!
