why were the step siblings the best part of this anthology cora has reached a new low 😟 gianna getting pregnant was literally the stupidest thing ever. she never wanted kids and it should’ve stayed that way. literally ever other couple she’s written got their happily ever after with babies what was the point of adding matteogianna to the mix ?? also i’d like to unread caragrowl’s short story cora’s so sick for writing bandit and coco’s death i didn’t need to witness that ☹️ still don’t care ab lilyromero they’re so plain and boring i don’t give two shits that lily’s a mother also her kids have stupid names so ?? this wasn’t all bad tho. i’m sorry but maurostella were kinda hot & i did giggle when matteo called luca a cheater he’s so 😭😭

3.5/5 I only read this for giannamatteo, lilyromero, & caragrowl! But I ended up really liking this anthology! I loved how we got a bonus story of Amo’s birth story! - Gianna and Matteo’s novella was very cute and I enjoyed it very much! - Lilyromero were really cute, I absolutely loved seeing them again and being as parents but I just wanted more! - Caragrowl is also one of my favorite couple from this series I enjoyed their little story and I loved how we saw them get married, it was very adorable but I just need more of them!

i really did miss them all a lot. sotf is going to literally kill me, i’m so excited!

Cute short stories. ALSO MATTEO YES

This was so painful to read. Just steam and pregnancy and babies. I love Cora but man this one was a miss.

A lot of this book was unnecessary in the development of the characters ... It was like a combination of all pregnancies. I wanted more of Gianna and Matteo and for that, I was served but what a mess of a plot I hated Luca and Aria in this! Mauro and Stella's story was a fresh addition and enjoyed having some news of Cara and Growl. Romero and Liliana were robbed in this book they had such a short part!

** spoiler alert ** besides the all-time-present pregnancy trope and 20% sexscenes, there was literally close to nothing happening, little character development or interesting storylines besides gianna and matteos novella, but they deserved so much better than getting displayed as egocentric and irresponsible humans and also getting pushed into that pregnancy trope when they clearly didn’t want kids. overall i just got the feeling that cora reilly doesn’t even try to hide that she completely favors aria and luca as characters and only writes about the other famiglia members to either make a+l seem like saviors or to please her readers (but does so very love- and listlessly), which is a very sad realization since i really fell in love with the overall universe she created, despite all its flaws. also, let's talk about stellas and mauros story: it was catchy but out of endless possibilities of how to make a love forbidden, why would you choose the sweet home alabama way? threw me off so badly. in conclusion, most of the stories were alright-ish but they had soooo much more potential, maybe i just had too high expectations in the first place, especially since it‘s the last book of the born in blood chronicles. but on the other hand especially then an author should at least try to put some kind of effort into a satisfying ending. 2.5 stars mainly because i was so excited to read about gianna and matteo again because even if they got done so dirty and it really wasn’t what i hoped for, they will for ever be my favorite famiglia members. the rest was disappointing to be honest.
