Bound by Love
Reviews

I must be a sadist for reading this far into the series, it’s torture. If you need 28 chapters to convince you about how pretty, tiny, and innocent the fmc is, this is your book. “I was still not big, but definitely not a lightweight anymore.” Says Aria when she’s 9 months pregnant… And don’t get me started about how bad Luca sucks. They truly deserve each other (THE most insufferable main characters). Not only did he cheat in Bound by Love, he was about to cheat again (4 years into their marriage mind you) with the same woman??!! Because Aria went into enemy territory (stupid bitch) and was caught in a compromising position with said enemy. What’s baffling is how he says he knows she didn’t cheat, yet was still planning on cheating IN FRONT of her, then what does she do? Take him back in a heartbeat. I’m honestly not surprised and I wish them the worst:)

ngl i started reading this in the 17th chapter bc i didn’t want to read what happened from book 2 to 5 so i just skipped and then started on chapter 17. and omg i dont regret it, lucaaria were definitely going through it damm, but their little family made my heart kinda clench, i cant wait for their children’s books - "Luca loves Aria more than his own life," "He will put his own life down before he kills her." - "You still love me?" "Of course,” "And you? Do you love me?" "I love you too much. It's fucking painful. It's killing me every second I'm not with you, every second of having to pretend that I don't love you. I hate to see you being sick because of me." - "Of course, I forgive you, if you forgive me too." "How could I not forgive you?" "I love you." (…) I had been drowning and he was my air. He was my life, my love, my everything.” - “he leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss against my stomach, then rested his forehead against my naked skin, breathing harshly. "Oh, Aria. I will burn down the world for you and our child. I wish I'd apologized sooner. I wish I hadn't let you go through this alone.” - "My grandmother was called Marcella.” "The female version of Mars, the god of war?" "Our daughter will be strong. She won't bow down to a husband. She won't ever have to fear a man, that I swear." -"Whenever you are at my side, I know everything will be okay." "Sleep, principessa. I will protect you." "And Marcella," "You and Marcella both, till my death." - “He hesitated then he lifted her from the crib, supporting her small head with his strong fingers the way I always did it. She looked tiny against his strong hands. He cradled her in the crook of his arm, then stroked her cheek with his index finger. My heart burst with so much love, it was almost painful. "Shhh, princess, shhh. Everything is okay." "God, you are so small," he whispered, “ - "See, your darkness didn't rub off on me and it hasn't rubbed off on her, Luca. Marcella will see you as I see you, as someone who holds her when she needs him to, someone who loves her and protects her." "You make me human, Aria," "Don't say that. You are human." "If anyone ever dares to hurt you or Marcella, they won't see my human side." "Nobody will ever get the chance to hurt us, Luca." - "I'll go wherever you go no matter how dark the path." "Even in the darkest hour, you are my light."

luca was so dramatic, he made big problem out of the small. so what if aria helped gianna to run away? he should understand that gianna is her sister, he should understand too recalling he knew how gianna despise the plan.
aria's betrayal was nothing compared to his betrayal; first, he cheated on her. second, he hide the fact that he supports his brother to pursue gianna — who openly disagree with matteo's interest.
i like him sometimes, but he's so.. ugh. irritating.

Aria and Luca was the first mafia romance I read so I have a bit of a soft spot for them because I love when the vicious Capo has a soft spot for his wife and would to everything for her. I loved that you get Luca and Arias POVs from the previous books and how they felt and how it affected their marriage. I also liked that it isn't just a perfect marriage. Arias character is consistent throughout the book with is giving it a higher rating. But Lucas character was a bit too much sometimes and just made problems that could easily be fixed. I still like him but sometimes it didn't feel just right.

“I’ll go wherever you go no matter how dark the path.” - Aria I was sobbing mess when they had a fight, it break my heart even more when Luca said, “we are done”. Highly Recommended! 5 Stars.

torture as its finest

2.5 estrellas porque lo único bueno de este libro (para mí) fue ver a Anna, Amo, Fabiano, y a Ryan y Cara.

sick and tired of reading about the same events over and over again. i need cora reilly to go back in time, delete every single scene she copy and pasted from books 1-5, and never publish this book. would have rated this higher if aria and luca served death trope and just put me out of my misery. i liked the ending tho. and the domestic parts w their kids. hated when aria opened her mouth. and when luca breathed. excited for fabi’s book maybe he’ll be the one scuderi sibling i actually like 🫶🏼

one word. heartbreaking. they really had me fucked up.

** spoiler alert ** Honestly, I don't even know where to start. This felt like such a huge book. So much happened. Okay so, the parts where we had Aria and Luca's pov about the events from the other books were just boring to me. I didn't want to know anything about it, especially because I already knew what was going to happen, even though the ending of these books are kinda predictable. But the new parts were interesting. Let me just say that both were wrong so many times, but I understand why Luca was mad at Aria after she returned from Chicago. Of course they fixed everything and it was a good ending for both of them. However, when Gianna and Lily kept saying to Aria that she shouldn't go to see their brother and explained the reasons why to... it just felt hypocrite cause she helped them before and let's not forget Chicago and New York are in war cause of Lily. And when Fabi appeared and told Aria how they left him? Yeah, I can totally understand the poor kid feelings. I know there's a series focused on him so I'm curious to see how it's gonna go. Anyways, it was a decent read, not my favorite of the series for sure but at least I got some Matteo pov!

4 stars only because they were being stupid for so long

aria's stupid decisions and luca's excessive possessiveness really dampened my enjoyment from this book. it was nice to see the events from books two, three and four from their perspectives but at the same time it was so repetitive that it got kinda boring. the silver lining as per usual was giannamatteo and how wholesome the scenes were between aria and luca and their children. also remo falcone? he was barely introduced and i'm already his bitch, can't wait for the excellence of his spinoff.

the most famous review said that this book should be titled "bound by arias stupidity" and i couldn’t agree more. besides the fact that like 70% of the book simply recited the previous books yet again(!), arias betrayals just got so damn annoying that i actually considered not finishing this book. while i really enjoyed aria and luca in their first book, this really just wasn’t it and made me sympathize with matteo and gianna even more. i was really invested in this series but after this read, i think i need a break.

é incrível o fato de eu gostar mais do matteo em TODOS os livros menos no dele, achei o final legalzinho
