Sin and redemption 

First off, this book starts really fast, the scene where sara gets raped is a small part, and then the real story starts, where max and Sara decide to get married, because he was the one who was forced to rape her otherwise the mafia gang members that caught them would and to save her from that brutality, he decides to be the one to take the load, and then after that incident, sara’s mother Liliana slaps max, even though he himself was quite disgusted with that idea and he didn’t want do that. But he had to, and that was not right. Max was forced too, just like Sara was, and like I read somewhere they said that men can be victims of sexual assault too, and I agree with that. So their parents decide to get them both married, because they found out she is pregnant, to take responsibility for the kid, max and Sara only interact  when they have to, there’s a twist too, she loses the baby, like??? And then Sara asks for a kid after that trauma that she went through? Clearly, intelligence has left her brain, instead of healing herself and coming out of her pain, and grief, she asks max that to redeem himself, make her a mother? Woman what??? ‼️‼️‼️ Max does as she wants because he wants nothing but her happiness and forgiveness. But she still resents him inside, even though knowing that he didn’t have a choice either. He was not a hero. I only liked max and that is why he deserves 10 stars, which I can’t give now, and Sara was…an okay character to me. But she really made me a bit annoyed when she asks max for a kid right after her miscarriage ‼️?!?!? Woman needs to heal, but no, we will do the EXACT opposite. If you want to read this book for max’s character, then please do, I only enjoyed the book because of max, and so out of all her other books in the other series than the blood chronicles, this is the ONLY book i’ve loved ever since her other releases. Read if you want, depends on what you like and dislike to know how this book will feel for you. Good luck!
