So, this is a really difficult book to review. On the one hand, I can't say I enjoyed the story or the characters, but I would be concerned for anyone who did. This book deals with a lot of dark topics, and it would be extremely advisable to check trigger warnings beforehand.
That being said, the book is undeniably well-written. Courtney Summers is amazing at telling stories that feel real, and for better or worse, this one was one of them. 

I don't think I can say any more than that. I think there are other reviews that delve deeper and better at some of the problems I had (for example, with the character of Georgia). This story left me feeling so mad, and empty, but also a little bit hopeful? I don't think this is a book I would recommend to friends, and I honestly don't know if I was in a healthy mental space to read it.
But honestly, would I've ever been in such a space? The story is really important, as it deals with heavy topics such as grooming, assault, the invulnerability of power structures, and how (in such structures) women are treated just as sexual objects, so their only means to climb up the hierarchy is through their beauty. I think the book could be used to generate a lot of discussion and just as a first step to talk about these topics.
