Cowboy, It's Cold Outside

Cowboy, It's Cold Outside A Twilight, Texas Novel

Lori Wilde2017
Everyone in town knows that Christmas in Twilight has a way of bringing lovers together . . . but will its magic bring this pair from “I won’t” to “I do”? Wearing a too-tight “Santa Baby” costume held in by a double pair of Spanx, Paige MacGregor runs headlong into a gorgeous, grey-eyed hunk of a long, tall cowboy. And not just any cowboy, but country-western star Cash Colton, visiting Twilight to perform in a charity concert. Most women would melt at his feet, but Paige knows all too much about self-assured men with cocky attitudes, so she tells him to get lost. Cash is in town, nursing his own broken heart, but Paige has knocked him off his feet. He’s convinced she’s perfect—someone to inspire his music and share his now-empty bed. True, he’s not marriage material, but he’s determined to convince her that they’re perfect together—at least for a while. But what he doesn’t count on is falling in love with the one woman who isn’t about to give him the time of day!

Donning a sexy Santa Baby costume to work at her friend's local theater as an usher isn't exactly one of the proudest moments of Paige MacGregor's life, but after a bad relationship left her identity compromised and her money gone, at least she has a job! Making ends meet and trying to save up money to pay for the lawyer she needs to regain her identity is all Paige wants for Christmas. And Santa, baby please, she definitely doesn't need another smooth talking man to come into her life. But when Cash Colton, recently single and returned from a soul-searching journey in South America, runs into the cute Santa he is immediately inspired. Thinking he's finally found his muse after all these years, Cash pursues Paige despite his own fears of love and commitment. Featuring houseboats, a cute (and surprisingly snowy) Texas town, and a cast of lovable characters, this is just steamy enough for a cheery holiday read. Thank you to Avon for providing a free copy for a fair review! This was my first Lori Wilde and I wasn't the hugest fan of some of the sexy times descriptions. Apparently if the hero is a musician we can only have musical similes and metaphors to describe the loving, and they made me laugh which took me out of the moment. Other than that, I super enjoyed the book!
