Cowsex

Cowsex

If you add two strangers to a cabin, in the middle of a snowstorm, the obvious is bound to happen... CowSex. When Essex lifestyle blogger and fashionista, Gracie Elliott crash lands into the life of Colorado mountain man Koa Carmichael, fists, chemistry and sexual banter ensue. After the punk rock Tinker Bell and semi-retired country rock star share some sweet, emotional as well as laugh-out-loud moments, they find it impossible to deny that they might have just discovered what neither of them knew they were looking for. CowSex, sometimes all you need is a little-bit.

Check out this and my other reviews at My Blog, Facebook, Google+, Twitter and Pinterest ★Book Basics★ Genre : - Contemporary Romance Series : - Stand Alone Love triangle? - (view spoiler)[No (hide spoiler)] Cheating? - (view spoiler)[No (hide spoiler)] HEA? - (view spoiler)[Yes (hide spoiler)] Would I read more by this author/or in this series? - Maybe Rating - 2 stars ★Review★ I enjoyed this, but it was somewhat less than I was expecting. The hero has not one, but two awful ex wives. Of Course. The heroine is all sassy and everyone loves her and she verbally bitch slaps both exes. Of Course. There is nothing original about the story really. And while I enjoyed it I had issues. I was so excited to read about a British heroine, but then her very Britishness was literally slapped in my face every page. I mean in all honesty unless these people have NEVER read a book or watched Tv, then the whole Hot Tub/Jacuzzi confusion or grill/BBQ or any other number of oh so hilarious confused moments were a bit much. Oh and the hero was a bloody borderline alcoholic, he spends most of this book drunk or drinking. Oh and you know, when you have slept with someone once or possibly twice and have known them for like 0.46362363 seconds - waking them up with your dick inside them is probably not a wise move as how do you know they would be up for it?? and then later on arguing about the lack of birth control and refusing to remove your dick from said women, again does not make a romantic hero for me. Its ok, he convinced her it is a good thing..... So of course Koa is an awesome dad, even though he gets drunk and is too hungover to answer the door when his ex is dropping off his 4 year old so his new girlfriend (that he has known of all of 2 weeks) gets to answer the door to them. And you know what, there is nothing wrong with a mother asking her ex who the random woman is who just answered the door when she is dropping off her 4 year old child. But this apparently was yet more evidence of the woman's bitchiness. Actually I might not have enjoyed this as much as I said at the beginning. Will go for 2 stars I think, in the end.

I'm sure that I had some criticisms of this book, but the good far outweighs anything that may be wrong that they have obviously just flown completely over my head. Totally biased opinion here (from a brit) but this deserves 4.5 stars for its unapologetically British speak (normal regional variety not plum in mouth variety) alone! I love that Gracie's accent is the cause of much confusion and mirth rather than lust as is the norm for many brit characters in books and TV. Never have understood that, there's nothing sexy about most British accents, including a strong Essex accent!!! Add to that the super sexy Koa and his rather conventional history, (as opposed to the usual fictional romantic hero background that never really reflects real life), and Gracie's habit of smacking (a bitch) down when needs must! I LOVED that she held nothing back when addressing the fools, male and female, that really needed it! One thing I wish was included was a scene with Kod (and Rod!) arriving for the wedding, then the three of them having a real chin-wag with Koa, Kai and all their friends and family looking on in astonishment at them, trying desperately to understand what's being said!!! That would have been the icing on the cake for me! Trust me, read this and much hilarity will ensue!
