this was a shit fest. there was literally nothing even remotely good about this book. every time lincoln or monroe did anything i wanted to fucking choke myself out. i want to take this book rip out all the pages, set them on fire and then get a witch to voodoo me so i forget it was ever published in the first place. 

while, yes, this is a dark romance book and i get that there would be themes like stalking and other shit. when i read 'somnophilia' (which if you dont know is when someone is aroused by someone sleeping or unconcious) i thought "oh one of them will just sort themselves out in private." NO this man jerks himself off NEXT TO HER AND THEN WIPES HIS CUM ON HER LIPS WHILE SHES ASLEEP. thats fucking sexual assualt and down right fucking rancid. 

the author states that "monroe is always a willing participant towards the end." no lincoln daniels is a fucking manipulative narcissist and needs to be thrown in a padded white cell. 

there is nothing romantic about monroe and lincolns relationship. absoloutely fucking nothing. i hope monroe runs far, far away. gets a fucking THERAPIST and lincoln kneels over and dies. 

nothing reddeming about this book. zilch. nada. 

sexual assualt is NOT 'dark' romance. its horror. 

also he tattoos her name on his dick? literally threw up in my mouth. this book was 349 pages of straight ick.

god i need to go stick my head in the fire in my dining room. jesus.

ps. forgot to add she gets a birth control implant because they want to fuck bare, cool, sweet. the kicker? it’s not even birth contact it’s a fucking TRACKING DEVICE.

This book was so cringey but in a way that it ends up being kinda entertaining because it’s so absurd.

But still… I don’t know how many times I rolled my eyes at the shit they said in this.

I'm kinda disappointed and I honestly almost dnf, which is why its not a 3⭐️, but it had enough likable moments to where it isn't lower. I'm all for stalker/possessive but this man was psycho and not in a good way... at first, I forgot it was a dark romance then shit took a sharp turn. The text messages between the two got a little confusing because it'd be in those bubble things, then in the it'd middle switch to italics. Just for the same texts to appear in the others pov, next chapter. Once I figured it out, the text were kinda cute, ngl. This book had so much potential and just fell flat for me.
