I almost can’t believe this book doesn’t have 5 stars from everyone who reads it. 
The writing: PHENOMENAL
The plot: PHENOMENAL
The characters: PHENOMENAL
I’ve never read anything by Craig Russell before, and I will definitely start reading his books. 
The main character is SO incredible and sympathetic. A person who doesn’t fully understand himself, someone who fears his deepest desires, it is (an extreme) a reflection of the way I think we all feel sometimes. The mystery is artfully crafted, and I love the way Russell interwove real facts with myth with fiction. 
Russell is an amazing writer, and I will be recommending this book to everyone I see for the next 2 weeks.
