I like this installment less than the others, but it did get me excited for the Russian next.

so so so boring

I have been putting off reading this book for over a year, because of how much I struggled with the first book. BUT that was a mistake. This book was so much better than the original in the series. Friends to lovers has become one of my new favorite tropes. I find them so much more relatable and sweet. I love that they really know each other and that they put off making move for fear of messing up what they already have. Alexis and Noah have such a good friendship dynamic - I adored them throughout the whole book! Beefcake - the adorable cat - is one of the best parts of this book. He is such a character and I laughed so hard at multiple scenes that he is in. My only issue with this book is that there was barely any book club. I thought the book club would play a more pivotal role.

Fav one of the series so far

** spoiler alert ** I was actually quite disappointed with this book. I’d enjoyed Undercover Bromance so much for its witty banter and comedic moments that I immediately started on this book with high hopes. I felt that Alexis and Noah’s friendship wasn’t shown well enough. It was actually hard to believe (for me) that they considered their friendship too precious to take it to the next level. I also didn’t really care for the donating-a-kidney-to-father-who-abandoned-daughter plotline. It’s just too big an issue to address to be a subplot in a romance novel. The pacing could use some improvement too. There were many times throughout where I got bored and yawned/almost fell asleep. Overall, a pretty average read.

3.75 stars This should have been a slam dunk for me. Friends to lovers!!!! But I feel like it was overstuffed and it kinda took away from Alexis and Noah's relationship. I think if Alexis only had to focus on the kidney transplant and finding her dad/new family, it could have been fine (although the new family was awful!), but she was dealing with a literal Karen and that storyline was forgotten until it wasn't (and worked out fine, but still). Also, I didn't like Marsh on Noah's side. Disappointing.

maybe 3.5 stars i know most people liked this book over the second one, so this is probably going to be an unpopular opinion but this was my least favorite in the series. i don't know if it's because it took me so long to read it due to my college classes starting or what but i wasn't invested in the romance as much as i hoped i would be. The relationship felt overshadowed by other things, i felt it focused more on family than the romance. the bookclub meetings remain the best thing that happens in these book and no i don't take criticism.

What can I say about this one? I went in with middling expectations. I’ve enjoyed the Bromance Book Club Series so far but this was also a book featuring a trope I’m not really drawn to, friends to lovers. I admit this was a book which did the trope well. Noah and Alexis were obviously in love with each other and I liked seeing them finally cross the line in the sand and admit their feelings. I like the secondary plot to do with Lexa’s dad as well and how it helped her acknowledge her avoiding her feelings and not truly moving forward. I think I actually just found the book club a little annoying. They were just so OTT pushing the book was the way when romance is good but I don’t know if it’s necessarily a perfect guide to life. I don’t know, something did quite click at times which kept me from adoring it. I’m unsure when I’ll read the next book as maybe I’ve gone off of the series or maybe it was just this book. We’ll see.

3,5? It's definitely better than the second installment but the first one is still the best out of the series so far

I love these stories! I’ve listen to them all on audiobook and I just love how the POV the narrator gives these books. It makes it feel like a much more authentic experience!! I usually end up laughing out loud to so many of the awkward scenes. I <3 The Bromance Book Club!

am i even shocked that the third book is also a five star read? no, not at all. but i sure am happy that it is. these books have been giving me much joy. the shot of serotonin i feel in my veins every time I’m reading is unbelievable. first and foremost, i have to say this book was friends-to-lovers EXCELLENCE. i swooned so hard - which has now become a pattern while reading this series. also hello?!?! new book boyfriend alert?!?! noah was perfect - just my type. he was this geeky man, all tough on the outside, ohh but so soft on the inside. and I couldn’t not talk about the whole group! i blooming love all of them. i love mack and his feminist speeches and remarks. and i am SO SO SO SO excited for vlad’s book, which I will be starting right away. and I can’t wait for the fifth book, which i suspect is about colton, who is a country singer - and i’m in, i’m so in!!!! 5 stars ✨

Not my favourite bromance book club read. I really disliked Candy, she seemed unnecessarily annoying. I wish there was more “bromance book club” scenes. I think Noah could have learned more from the guys. Overall it wasn’t bad, just not as good as the last two.

2.5 stars I wanted to like this book but I just couldn’t. I thought the friends to lovers thing was cute but I hated the main subplot. I’ve realized I hate storylines where characters forgive sh*tty/absent parents when they clearly don’t deserve it and this books went so far as to have Alexis give up an entire kidney to her sh*tty/absent father. I had a hard time finishing this book because I knew where is was going and that I wouldn’t like it but here we are.

Another amazing installment in the Bromance Book Club. Super excited I was approved for an ARC of isn't it bromantic so I can keep on in this wonderful series. My heart is so happy.

WOW WOW WOW WOW Listen to the Audiobook in a day!!! This is my new favorite book of the series. If you got caught up with the second book, READ THIS BOOK. It totally makes up for it. There are even MORE SPICY SCENES. I loved this friend to Lovers book and the relationship they developed. Also, the fact that there are always 2 big problems that happen between the characters always keeps me on my toes when it comes to this series. I love it and can't wait to read the next book.

adorable beans and for once a besties to lovers didn't make me cry hooza

Dear Lyssa Kay Adams, i dub they queen of rom com, especially in the form of audiobooks. Yes, I have listened to every single one of these books and they are my absolute favorite! They make me laugh SO hard, swoon and blush, and also face hard topics in our world today. Lyssa is an auto buy author now. But seriously... download the audiobooks... the narrator is 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Alexis Carlisle is content with her life and where she is now after coming forward as a victim of sexual harassment. With her cat cafe, cat beefcake, and her best friend Noah... life seems pretty good. Until a girl walks in claiming to be her sister, needing something from her that could change everything. Noah Logan, one of Mack's best friends, and new inductee to the Bromance Club... why? Because he's in love with his best friend Alexis. Noah and his grumpy attitude, love for Alexis, and complete and under fear for Beefcake made me just want to hug him! I'm not normally a fan of friends to lovers but this was perfection. What I loved: -the bromance gang -the Russian (hopefully seeing his story soon?) -the believable love story -the amount of times I was snort laughing in my car - Noah and Beefcake Rating- story- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 audio/narrator-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (im throwing stars at this point) romance- friends to lovers steam- I never want to hear the word "plundered" again.

Love this series!!

3.5 rounded up

3.5 ⭐️

This is another one of my most anticipated sequels of 2020, and I was quite disappointed when I didn’t get the ARC and then had to wait all this while for my library copy. But it was definitely worth the wait. There were some angsty moments, but overall it was a fun and entertaining read. I love the best friends to lovers trope, so I think I knew I would enjoy it and I’m glad it lived up to my expectations. I still love the Bromance book club boys and all their banter, even though some of their lines about masculinity or relationships have started to feel a bit contrived, because we hear some version of it repeated in every book - but it hasn’t yet taken away from the love I feel for this series. I didn’t think I would be excited for the Russian’s story but that’s who the next book is gonna be about, and I can’t wait to see how it turns out.

This one is for sure my favorite in the series so far! I flew through this one as I did with the others, but this relationship was the most satisfactory to me and I loved the friends to lovers trope. Overall, 4 out of 5 stars.
Highlights

for you. "Fine," Mack said, standing up. "Then I will." A nightmare broke out along with a sheen of sweat on Noah's man doc to do the 1. to th nanm

Mack piped in. Where did she stare? The Russian pouted. "He did not raise his hand." Mack raised his hand and repeated the question.
