Lucy is so strong and her past story just make me wanna hug her so bad, she really experienced a lot. And TUNNER KING OMG he’s very charming i love him so much. i can’t even say how many times i’m swooning over him. thd romance between them is the reason i continue reading this book. the 🌶 scene is everything i just love it so much and it’s perfect. CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE REFERENCE OF PRIDE & PREJUDICE AND ALSO THERES A BOOKSTORE DATE PLS IM CRYING 😭😭😭 THE ENDING LITERALLY PERFECT! will continue reading this series!!! go read this book if you guys love: -dual pov -cinnamon roll hero -second chance romance -family drama

Susannah Nix always knows how to hit the spot. I have been reading her books since the beginning and I love them all. They just keep getting better and better. The interconnected worlds she creates keep me hooked and the spice gets better with each book. Cream and Punishment was a delightful second chance romance. I loved seeing Tanner and Lucy fall for each other all over again and see growth from both of them. A historical family business full of drama and a leading lady trying to find her own place and voice in her life. Seeing Lucy learn to be her own person and finally let someone into her life for the long haul was something special. We need people in our lives to push and inspire us but not force us to make decisions we aren't ready for or don't agree with yet. The date the the used bookstore was by far the part of this book that made me fall in love though. I cannot wait to read the next story. Wasn't prepared for that minor cliff hanger in the epilogue.

Do you want to know my biggest issue with this book? It's that Tanner King isn't real. How dare Susannah Nix write a man who is so perfect?! A sweet, handsome cinnamon roll of a person who also quotes Jane Austen? I can't. I also really liked his relationship with Lucy. They had this past fling that didn't end well, but they both go on this journey of personal growth to not only better themselves but their relationship, and it was so lovely. There were moments I thought Lucy was being exceptionally stubborn, but as you learn more about her relationship with her mother, you start to understand why she goes about things the way she does. Overall, I thought this was the perfect mix of sweet and steamy, and I'm excited for the next book in the series.

Can I just say this cover is beyond adorable! & the title is puntastic! 🤩
This is the second book in the King's Family series. Here we focus on Wyatt's brother Tanner and his ex-girlfriend Lucy who those of you who read My Cone and Only know also works for King's Creamery and that they didn't split in a very nice way. Now these two have to work together, and that's how this book begins!
THIS BOOK MY GOD! 💜
It was PERFECT! Just the right amount of angst, steam, wit and heart melting moments. I've had book hungover since I finished it which is why it's taken me this long to write this review. Here we get a better glimpse at the family dynamic between the King's.
I loved Lucy! She was very relatable. Right from the start you get a sense of who she is and the fact that she's very guarded with good reason. Her family dynamic was something that I felt was done very well and you feel just as helpless as her when you're reading it. 🌸
Tanner King. I thought he was pretty cool when I read book one and I was expecting to like him a lot. But I was not prepared for the Husbandoo Level PERFECTION that is Tanner King! All I'll say is he quotes Pride and Prejudice. He was oh so sweet, caring, kind and he has a dry sense of humor what more can we want?!🥰
The relationships in this book were very well written. They weren't cut and paste copies of the ones form the other book which can often. Lucy and Tanner's relationship was very different form that one of Andie and Wyatt and so it made them seem more real. Lucy and Tanner where just perfect OTP material. The relationship between Lucy and her mother was something that although I can't personally relate to felt very realistic and I often felt the helplessness that Lucy felt. Tanner and his dad! I really need to know more about that George King! 🤔
Overall, I had so much fun reading this book. I've pre-ordered the audiobook and I'm waiting not so patiently. 🤩
I can't recommend this enough. 👌🏻
@susannahnixauthor 's writing is simply superb!😍
