The narrator really was horrible and I ended up returning this book. I just couldn't stand the style of narrating she did and her voice was a bit grating on my nerves. Will buy this in EBook format instead.

Gosh, I just love reading Alice Clayton romance titles because she always know how to write the best hilarious yet romantic story. And she did it again with A Cream of the Crop which is the second book in The Hudson Valley series. 
In the second book of The Hudson Valley series (A Cream of the Crop), reader will get to read about more of Natalie and Oscar. Natalie and Oscar have briefly met before in book one but reader will get to know more about them in A Cream of the Crop. Natalie and Oscar are very attracted with each other that they have strong chemistry but they are totally different people.
Natalie is a sexy yet intelligent women that she has no hardship with man since any man is instantly attract to her sexy confidenece. But she is different out of her world when she meets Oscar again. It is very different for Natalie whenever she is around Oscar because she is vulnerable in falling in love him which she is fun shy. It will take some thoughts for Natalie to trust Oscar since it ended horrible in the last time she let a man through her life. But Oscar is totally worth it!
Oscar is hot farm man that I want him for myself. But I will let Natalie have have him. He is very calm yet intense man that it makes no wonder why Natalie gets tongue tied. And he is definitely feeling the same way too. He is loving Natalie from all shape and wear but he is little too gun shy with commitment especially when his ex is around. But he will realize that Natalie is worth it since she is amazing women to have.
A Cream of the Crop is another fantastic romance title that you will be laughing your ass off while you tear up with all of the heartwarming emotions. Five Stars.

3.5 actual rating. I have mixed feelings about this one-some things I really loved, others meh. I loved Natalie's attitude and her portrayal. So many times in romance novels the heroine is described as doesn't know how beautiful she is and blah de blah. But Natalie knows how sexy she is and goes after what she wants. It was refreshing and I want to read more characters like her! And like all of Clayton's books the dialogue between the characters was witty and hilarious. Also the discussion on compromise in relationships was nicely handled. 
I was meh about the relationship though. Oscar seemed great, but he just appeared to be "handsome book hero". I could never figure out how the two of them came to love each other. They never built on conversations. It just seemed to be built on lusty sex-and even then the sex scenes weren't that great either. It was more an "in-lust" than "in-love" book except Natalie and Oscar both declare they love each other.

It was nice to see a full figured leading lady, but some of the "big ass" jokes grew a bit tired for me by the end.

Silly, sexy, and fun. I would recommend for fans of Christina Lauren.

I’ve loved Alice Clayton since Wallbanger first came out, and her newest books in the Hudson Valley series are just as fun and entertaining as her first book. This author does rom-com like no other, so if you’re a fan of funny, sexy books, you’ll want to get your hands on this series! These books will have you laughing with delight and also have you blushing like crazy the next. Cream of the Crop is another winner from Alice Clayton — Nuts is still my favorite Hudson Valley book, but this one was pretty unique and I absolutely adored the heroine!

We first met Natalie in Nuts as one of Roxie’s best friends, and we know that Natalie has got a bit of a crush on a certain dairy farmer. Normally, Natalie’s the most confident, self-assured woman there is, but every time she’s within the vicinity of Oscar Mendoza, her brain fries and she’s literally only capable of saying two words to him. It’s hilarious and endearing – Natalie is seriously one of my favorite heroines ever! I just love her confidence (when she’s not shy around Oscar) and I love how empowered she is. She owns every one of her curves and I really couldn’t admire her more.

When she gets the chance to visit Hudson Valley for a job, Natalie jumps at the chance not only to see her best friend, but also to see Oscar in all his dairy glory. There’s a hot chemistry between these two characters despite how frazzled she is around Oscar, but once she gets over it, holy crap do sparks fly. These two are crazy hot together – there might have been a litttle too much sex, but otherwise I really enjoyed the way they were together.

Cream of the Crop is pure, light-hearted fun, and the perfect drama-free summer read. The romance was simple and uncomplicated, and the setting of Hudson Valley is gorgeous and homey. It’s seriously such a fun read – and I already can’t wait to read more of the series!
