I'm not quite sure how I feel about this book. When I started and got a few chapters in, I had the feeling I wasn't going to care for it very much. I wasn't connecting to the characters, some parts of the novel were a little sketchy (and were never really resolved). However, there was a turn in the novel that had me finishing the majority of the book in a days time. I don't think my feelings towards the characters changed, but their situations did and I wanted to see where it all ended. And I am pleasantly surprised. It's not your typical teen romance novel, which is refreshing. It's a complicated story between two interesting and complicated characters. I think I would benefit from a re-read, which might alter my opinion of the story, as it was not the novel I was expecting it to be.
