I loved the illustration and the characters. The personalities had a lot to play with, and I wasn't disappointed. 
The comics were cutesy and adorable, and I had a nice time flipping through it, But I am not sure it made any 'impact' on me. I have read similar comics from Debbie Tung and Sarah Anderson, and they leave me with a theme. This one, I can't quite put a finger on the reason, but at best it only made me chuckle. I was smiling maybe, chuckling at some bits, but not really laughing out loud. What I like about comics sometimes is that you never know what the build up is going to lead to. And I love that element of surprise. It is a much-needed punch. That was missing here. I loved how realistic all the comics were: the relationship was very well portrayed, but the ideas were predictable for me, and the story didn't flow smoothly. Overall i had fun reading it, but I may not count it as one of the best ones I ever read.

Croquette & Empanada is a collection of short stories based on the romantic relationship of the author. The art style is very simple and expressive. Most of the stories felt they weren't connected with each other, but clearly, this book follows a timeline. Towards the end, that became obvious with the appearance of new characters that were introduced. Even though the stories are really short, they express a lot of Croquette and Empanada's personalities over several situations while causing a few laughs along the way.
