I rated this TPB lower than the two first not due to the story, but the use of other artists and a style that greatly clashes with Tyler Crook's. I really love Crook's take on the characters and the sudden change after so long had a jarring effect and really hurt the book.

I have grown to quite like Harrow County, but Snake Doctor was very much a filler volume. Two of the stories were illustrated by alternative artists. Neither was particularly bad, but Harrow belongs to Tyler Crooke so it was jarring to look at different styles. The Snake Doctor two issue story was interesting, but it like the two standalones was really there just to set up problems for future issues. I suspect everything will pay off, but it just wasn't that entertaining yet.
