I'd only read one Evanovich book before this one and had a great time with it. I had never heard of Phoef Sutton but wanted to give this book - the first in a new series - a shot. I'm happy I did. It was truly a fun, non-stop joy ride filled with murder and mayhem. The story line was interesting (tracking down stolen gold) and the characters were truly a hoot. The bad guys were bad and the good guys were lovable and a load of fun to get to know.

I'm looking forward to reading more about these characters in the next book.

Its been a long time since I've read anything by this author. I had a road trip so I took the opportunity to listen to the audible version. I really enjoyed it. The characters were quirky and the narrator did a great job capturing the personalities without going over the top. I loved the interaction between Riley and Emmie, but I think the Aunt is my favorite character despite her small role.

Okay Janet Evanovich can do no wrong!! Well to me she can't haha.
I absolutely adore her Stephanie Plum series! 
And this series is looking like it will be just as delightful!

The characters in this book, whilst they have their flaws, are fun, quirky and easy to love.
Emerson Knight is the rich, eccentric introvert who is on a mission to see his gold.
Riley Moon is fresh out of Harvard and her first assignment is to look after Knight.
It is clearly a recipe for disaster, hijinks and mayhem.

The story is a classic Janet Evanovich plot. But I still find them fun and irresistible. 
Missing people, missing gold, amateur sleuths and a life and death race across the country. Seriously though what more can you ask for!! 
Overall the book was a fun, fast read and I can't wait to see what Emerson and Riley get up to next! 
I would recommend this, or any Janet Evanovich, book to people who love a good fun. easy to read mystery.

Enjoyable, wacky characters which make a pit-stop in Jackson, TN, my home town. So what's not to like. Not a mind-blowing mystery, but rather a fun romp. Can't wait to see what Riley and Emerson get up to next.
