Pretty Ugly Promises

For a dark romance by C.W. Farnsworth it was alright. It didn’t stick out to me, it did feel like a more cut and dry dark mafia romance. But that could have just been me. It was a super quick read though so I do find that to be a postitive. It was interesting to have a second chance situation have happen in this one but there were aspects of it I didn’t love trying to mix together the mafia bits of it since it was made such a big reason why they wouldn’t work and felt ignored by the end. Again this is just my experience, there were good parts, and parts I didn’t love as much.

Don’t get me wrong…the writing was amazing, i think that’s the only reason i kept reading

Mafia Romance with lot less gory details. There are lots of killings, don't mistake that, just less horrific. It has hidden pregnancy, lots of 

I love you but its for the best that you dont know that

, a super adorable and smart kiddo and great story flow. There is no whitewashing for the Mafia work which I appreciate actually! The story goes a lot into grey areas instead of keeping it black & white only. 

An amazing read that I would definitely love to read again!

P.S. I wanted more of his mother in the story!! I felt that she could relate with Lyla a lot than she expressed in her words.

Mafia Romance with lot less gory details. There are lots of killings, don't mistake that, just less horrific. It has hidden pregnancy, lots of I love you but its for the best that you dont know that, a super adorable and smart kiddo and great story flow.
