Dante knows that Cassie is special to him but as the story unfurls we also learn that even though her father experimented on her from the time she was a young girl, she already had a little something special in her! No Dante doesn't know if what he feels is real or just her own special abilities manipulating him. 

Dante is a real older man! I loved the way he soaked up technology etc, but kept the old alpha male grunts etc! His actions around Cain were especially aggressive and just a little bit panty melting! I loves meeting the other patients Cassie has and their struggles. I us admit I had a bit of a lump in my throat during the epilogue, I just loves the way they created their own little family.

I had not read the other books in thi series but that didn't hamper me in enjoying the story. Well worth a read!
