First Read: June 30, 2012 Original Review: first thing you should know: this review prob won't be the best, cuz I'm in serious denial about some of the things that happened in this book. it was a good book, very emotional, (and no, not just with Tucker-vs-Christian thing.) there was more with Samjeeza, yay! found out some things about her mom (and dad) we didn't know before. much sadness concerning her mom. Clara's purpose comes back to bite her butt, and she finds out that she actually ruined EVERY-SINGLE-FREAKING-BODIES purpose, not just her own's and Christian's like we thought before. I'm not sure whats up with Jeffrey. I mean, I had a hunch, but since revelations made towards the end of this book, I'm not sure if I'm right anymore. next book they'll be off in college. yay. SHE AND TUCKER DID NOT BREAK UP. THEY JUST DID NOT. If she is with Christian at the end of this series, I am going to scream. I'm going to scream, then die, come back as a zombie, bite all their heads off then Aden Stone is going to randomly show up and kill me. wow. I actually had to go and pace when I finished this book. kaykay. I'm shutting up now. just found out there might be a tv show of this on the CW. Please do this right, CW! All though, must admit, I have much faith in the CW. I mean they took an AWFUL book series (The Vampire Diaries) and made an awesome tv show, so Imagine what they'll do with an AWESOME book series. also, I've noticed all my fellow reviewers saying they love Christian?!?!?!? Uh, NO! refer to my denial. I'm still in denial about it, but I think it happened, AND IT HAPPENED BECAUSE OF CHRISTIAN. *roaring in anger* No, I'm not in love with Christian. Okay, scene in the cemetery? "This is the part where I kiss you?" Uh, NOOOO! that is not allowed, not fair, and not freaking happening! I don't care bout her purpose or that they're EXACTLY THE FREAKING SAME or that they 'belong together' or whatever! Uh, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I refuse to accept it! I may just be incredibly stubborn, but I think it's safe to say that I will NEVER love Christian. Probably because he IS nice and awesome and totally capable of taking Clara away from Tucker! AND THEY DIDN'T BREAK UP! THEY JUST DIDN'T! OKAY? I'm sorry. Okay, sometimes it's possible for me to love both guys, but not usually. Usually, I pick one guy, stick with him, and hate the other with a burning passion. But, if Christian weren't so nice, I'd probably okay with him! I'm going to die. If the world ends before the third book comes out, I will be SOOO mad.
This was the best second book in any trilogy. It built up fast, and still had drama and action in EVERY SINGLE PAGE! And not to mention Tucker... I love him.. like if Clara could just.. maybe.. give him to me :) I'd die happy. You find out A LOT of stuff in this book, more so then the first. I liked this book slightly better then the first only because, again, you find out so much stuff. And that stuff is what makes you craving for the third book. Literally. Cynthia Hand did an outstanding job in this book and kept you interested from start to finish. Definitely on my "Favourite" list. Not much more to say in this review except that it picks up right when their senior year begins and they all see each other and new drama that involves the love triangle. I can't really explain what happens after because well DUH that just ruins everything. The summary says it all, and it's a MUST read. You will all be shocked at what you find out!
Team Christian! I still like Tucker and I think he's a great guy but Christian choose me and I can't help but gush at their scenes and smile. I think Jeffrey is going to become a Black Wing and i'm like freaking out the Christian is probs gonna be one too. I hope you know that any Christian/Clara shippers can kiss that ship goodbye because Nicki the queen of doomed ships has officially began shipping them together, real hard. I really really liked this book. There was so much explanation and a lot but not all questions were answered. I adore Angela and Clara's friendship and I'm curious to see how the whole tucker thing will play out since they will be in college and he's still in wyoming.
Tucker was totally the right choice. Duh. But compelling all the same!
Book 2 of the Unearthly series. This book took me for a ride on an emotional roller coaster. I laughed, I cried, I got depressed. This is definitely one of those books where people take sides. Team Tucker/Christian anyone? Some may even switch sides after this book(of course I remain team Tucker, just sayin). We get some major character development in this book along with many questions answered. We find out more about Clara and Jeffery, their parents, Christian, other angel-bloods and what it means to be an angel. We find out more about purposes and all. Other than the fact that this book made me angry-I possibly liked it more than Unearthly. This book was written so beautifully-almost heavenly.
I loved this one just as much - and possibly more - than the first. I can't wait for the third book to come out.
I loved this book!!!! I cannot say enough good things about this book!!! Clara is such a likable heroine and I felt like you could really connect with her!!! This is the second book in Cynthia Hands Unearthly series and I really loved Unearthly so Hallowed had a lot to live up to and it did. Clara is part angel and she decided to save her awesome boyfriend instead of fulfilling her purpose. She has to live with the consequences that come with her decisions. You really see Clara grow and you find out so much more about what her purpose really is. Tucker is Clara's boyfriend and he is perfect!!! I would say that Tucker would be one of my book boyfriends :)!!! He is just an all around good person and he in madly in love with Clara but he is respectful and a cowboy!!!! I have to say that I am defiantly team Tucker. Christian is the other boy in Clara's life. He is also part angel and is a big part of Clara's purpose. I liked Christian much better in this book in Unearthly I had a hard time connecting to his character him and Clara didn't connect at all and I thought that there was no way she would ever end up with Christian. There relationship develops and I actually think he is a sweet guy who really does care about Clara. They also have a lot in common!!! I will defiantly be reading book 3 in this series I actually can't wait for it to come out but I have to wait another year for it!!!! I would recommend this book to anyone that liked Fallen or Twilight!!!
Recensione su Giulia's World Non sono per niente soddisfatta. Non trovo un senso a questo libro. Il primo era pieno di scoperte questo sembra una brutta copia di quello che è già successo. Avrei voluto che la storia proseguisse in qualche modo, invece mi sono trovata davanti un romanzo piatto che, per carità, si fa leggere ma comunque piatto. Non so come potrebbe concludersi questa serie, in questo momento sono abbastanza scoraggiata.
