After the bar that was set by the internet, I thought this was going to be a book that grabbed me by the throat and would not let me go until after I was done with it in less than a day. It actually took me ages to get through. The story is dense, the multiplicity of characters and storylines and things to keep up, it was hard. With that said, I loved the story. The format was intriguing and the end? Those final two chapters shook me to my core. I love how well thought out this story is. I think I’ll recommend this book to whoever asks me.

For starters I thought the interview style was really creative and it worked so well with the story and how it needed to be told. I loved everything about this book. Almost every page there was a line so beautifully written and honest that I just found myself never wanting to put it down. This is the only book that I can confidently say has changed me forever, and although the ending isn’t particularly heartbreaking (don’t get me wrong it is still sad in a good way), I found myself being heartbroken by it coming to an end. Reid does an amazing job of making the characters feel real. I hated them all at times but the next second I would find myself so in love with them. I will never forget the story of Daisy Jones and the Six.

I really loved the concept of this book. The beginning felt a little slow, but it really picked up in the last few chapters.

This is a funny, light read as everyone is an unreliable narrator but they really couldve turned up the drama. Camilla would NEVER write that letter, Daisy and Billy are so dramatic for what, Eddie never got to blow up , and Graham would be able to get over what Karen did. It’s a fun one time read

I wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy the format of the book. But after getting used to it I really enjoyed how an interview style told the story. You know the characters are trying to tell a story that serves them, that they won’t always be remembering everything correctly or the same way and that the added complexity of the interviewer potentially changes how much we get to see. I wanted more grit from Daisy she and Billy don’t feel believable in how addiction affected them. So many of the characters felt like an add on and we really never got to see their full story. Loved the story, would love to see more books like TJR style of telling a different kind of story.

There is just something about the way that Taylor Jenkins Reid writes that grasps my attention instantly. Conceptually, thematically, and emotionally this book had me hooked from the get go.

I personally have never seen a book written this way before, but from the very start I felt like I could see the documentary playing out in my mind. And sure, maybe I didn’t know anything about the iconic 

, but I just knew they were a big deal from the first few pages. There is just something about reading these characters thoughts in the layout of a tell-all interview that lets you get to know them in a way like no other.

After reading The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, you can tell that Taylor Jenkins Reid has cracked the code into getting to know fictional celebrities as if they were A-listers in our own universe.

The plot itself had me on the edge of my seat. As one would imagine, a band like Daisy Jones & The Six live a life of chaos, emotion and rock ’n roll. Of course I want to know the drama! Then rise and fall that these characters went through not only personally but as a band demonstrated some difficult topics but with such a rawness and realness that made this world feel real.

After certain revelations, especially the second authors note, I could barely even bring myself to turn the page. The ending was heart wrenching, but in the best way. 

I will now be on my way to recommend this book everyone I know.

I loved this book. I do not read blurbs and typically just go for something, as I did with this. I had seen lots of great reviews for this book and honestly didn’t have high hopes (I’m not a hype gal. Be people love it? I don’t want any part of it 🫣😂). Boy was I wrong. This as an audiobook was such an enjoyable listening experience. It felt as if I was sitting right there with them. Felt like I was just apart of it all and I knew what experiences they were sharing. I loved how they had a different narrator for every person rather than one person trying to do multiple people. And the twist at the end? Absolutely made the book for me. I am so excited to watch the show and hear the music.

Daisy Jones & The Six (TV Tie-in Edition)

I liked the interview style of the book. How different people had varying accounts of the same events. Started this book because the show was coming out so I’m interested to see how it connects and changes to TV. Great story, good build.

 Finished this book and felt utterly exhilerated. This entire book was absolutely fulfilling and entirely gorgeous. It wasn't beautiful in the sense of emotion enducing but it was raw and truthful, which I often find just as gorgeous.

In the middle of the book, I was contemplating giving the book a 3. Of course I hadn't finished it, but none of the stories seemed to be relevant and I wasn't essentialy excited to read it. However, that could just be as a result of my own current mood. 

Daisy & Billy's relationship twisted my heart like rubber. Then the ending returned it back into place. And then loosing camilla made it snap. I didn't sob in this book, but I did have tears forming. 

My only issue with this book is that I wasn't entirely fulfilled. I just felt like it was missing something, and my heart honestly did not feel into it. I also believe I only read it because of other people's views of it. Furthermore, I honestly do think it had a gorgeous plot, and the vibes were immaculate imo, however, in my own personal view I didn't 100% enjoy it. That is probably my own personal preferances aswell.

I would still recommend you to read this book if you have the chance.

Another 5 star read from TJR. She never seems to miss. 

Set in the TJR world in the 1970s following the Band Daisy Jones and The Six. You follow how the band came to be and their downfall. 

The revelation at the end had me in tears. But the book is euphoric. You feel every emotion of every character.

Every story feels told. 

This was a re-read for me, first time was a physical book, this time on audio. It is just as great as I remember, maybe even better on audio!

Wanted to finish this before the series came out! This book made me feel every emotion you can. It was so uniquely written and was so interesting to read characters dialogues through an interview instead of normal story dialogue. Overall I really did love it and can’t wait to watch the series :)

billy is a literal piece of shit and both camila and daisy deserved better. daisy stan for life tho 🫶🏽
